I think half of it is a personality trait. You probably have a tendency to fix things around where you live, tinker, build, organize, etc...
Second is if you have that trait to some degree, then how do you apply it to programming rather than learning specific technologies or skills.
So once you have a foundation you then want to target problems. e.g. How do I make an app to monitor my exercise? And then work backward from the problem and solve it. Rather than "I need to build a React project so let me think of what to build".
