My opinion is crowd control is doing it's job. If you want a larger voice in the community, join and have positive contributions over a long period of time. This isn't a place for new and/or sketchy accounts to troll.
This is a feature Reddit built, it doesn't have dials and knobs to manipulate for specific users and I plan on activating it on any most where there is offtopic personal conversations involving new user accounts, so it can do it's job.
I asked the other mods if they agree with this is or not and if they don't then I'll follow what we collectively decide.
