I think asking about the day to day instruction quality and would you do it again are things that haven't been answered before on Reddit.

Sure! I'll try and break it down based on your questions but I also want to provide a bit of background on myself for folks reading this. I do not have a tech background - I came from the agricultural industry and have a tiny bit of state work in my back pocket but I had never re

Hi! u/lemonpotatoes thanks for spending the time to write up a great response! So one thing I haven't sorted out yet with Codesmith is that Will Sentance is EXTREMELY FOCUSED on teaching. Like he is a brilliant person and cares a lot about teaching quality. However, most Codesmith people I talk to: 1. Find the material like a firehose and feel always behind. They are told that the point is to learn how to learn and most people absorb 20% of the materials. 2. All of their teachers, TAs, and leads were all Codesmith alumni themselves and haven't worked in the industry. Do you have your own thoughts on this? It seems like a big disconnect from Will's intentions to build the best approach to teaching.

Well technically it's only been 3 weeks since they graduated haha but of the handful I've spoken to, a few of them took a week or two as time off to decompress, take a vacation, reconnect with real life etc... But I have also spoken to a handful who've already set up an interview

I hope Codesmith alumni aren't telling you this... you want every interview to count!!! and you don't want to be practicing in your real interviewes.... they should be giving you all the practice you need and if they aren't that's a failure in their career support.

Hey Michael! I don't think I have any particularly deep thoughts on this but I will say that one of my first thoughts regarding the teaching aspect, even before the cohort started was my surprise at the cohort size. I realized I had never asked about it so it was a bit startling
