Weird experience with Google Hiring Manager interviews

I'm very familiar with this process in the United States at least. It's called "team matching". So if you do well on the onsite, the recruiter will send your packet to the hiring committee review. If that committee "recommends hiring", you passed the interviews! You will go into a big pool of people who passed to get matched with teams and the recruiter can also help you match. During team match, the goal is for a team to see if you are a good fit for their needs and then if they want you, you will get an offer officially with numbers shortly after. This process will vary depending on you and the teams. An earlier career candidate might have an easy time because the teams they are marching with are looking for someone junior who seems good to work with. If you are very senior, the team might be more selective about who will join because you will be a leader with more influence and the fit and skillet match is more important. Either way it's a great sign, and at some point you will likely find a match. I've seen literally same day from passing hiring committee (the team match call and then the offer) to many weeks. I've heard stories of many months but have not seen that with Formation.dev Fellows (who tend to be early career and mid level)
