See the sticky post about moderation - Reddit aggressively removes content from suspicious accounts and that could be why.

Things can be retroactively flagged if an account becomes suspicious. The bad actors I've found nurture accounts for months or years before using them to create fake content.
It doesn't mean the discussion was bad in those cases though.
