Do you have the bandwidth to do both? Take a tech lighterweight adjacent job, - maybe even part time, and ideally at a top tech company (e.g. IT support for Meta) and do a little freelancing on the side. If freelancing picks up, lower hours or drop the IT job and go all in?
Not sure I advise this but something to think about.
