Wasn't the founder of nucamp doing an AMA last week. I'd add a question about this practice

That was Turing School. Nucamp is Ludo and Nucamp fairly transparently doesn't do job outcomes because they want to focus on satisfaction instead. Which I think is a good idea because you are paying for teachers and curriculum development and not a job so why judge it by if you get a job or not? That said, asking for reviews is sadly a common practice.... have you noticed how Codesmith has like 600 Course Report reviews where they pay them to sponsor, and wayyyy fewer reviews on other sites.... and similar things with other programs: where their online reviews are skewed across different sources.
I wrote a paper in undergrad about online reviews that wone a best paper award at CHI and since then I don't trust online reviews haha.

C'mon man lol. They "fairly" "transparently" don't post data about job outcomes? Yet you you posted the below about Codesmith a few days ago:

Yeah the CEO was asked why they don't report job outcomes and he answers it directly and says he doesn't want to play games with outcomes that you are forced to play if you report them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEFri1zB\_PM

People on this sub don't care about the founder's philosophy or gripes. From the consumer perspective it is absolutely apples and apples. People. Want. Jobs. This subre

I don't think anyone goes to NuCamp thinking it will get them a job from what I've seen in their info sessions. People go because it's cheap. They never talk about jobs.

I'll concede some ground in that I don't think it's fair to compare outcome data from NuCamp and Codesmith 1:1 in that NuCamp is much more self-driven and by definition wouldn't have the same outcomes. But there is absolutely data they could provide regarding outcomes and student

That would be a good idea and send the results to Ludo on here! NuCamp had a pretty sketchy sponsored post in Google results that I thought was sketchy and they are indeed a for profit business like many other bootcamps.
