Can founders like Bill Gates or Zuckerberg still write code with the best of them? Or have they been away from the game too long?

I worked directly with Zuck when he wrote code for the 'last time' at Meta, back in 2009-2010ish. In fact I made a bet to get him out of coding-retirement to commit code for the first time in a while :D. (He has written code since for personal projects though) I don't think he was ever a brilliant standalone programmer but he's very smart and has natural programming and problem solving abilities, but I always felt his programming was done in service of a goal or product and not programming for programming's sake. He was heavily heavily involved in product discussions and technical tradeoffs at a high level.
