I can't give a full reply because I'm involved in a legal dispute with Leif, but I can comment more broadly that Leif likely has the contractual permission to subcontract out servicing to a 3rd party.
Look for an 'assignment' clause in your agreement, or the term "servicer" or "servicing" to see.
