Agree. I had moments of frustration with some of the policies and instruction quality, but all things considered it set me up very well for success and I learned a ton. The whole course was pretty fun. Emphasis on pair programming was great. I think your point is spot on - App

This is similar to a lot of top programs (and quite frankly, top CS schools as well) where the higher entrance bar (selecting small number of people who are pre-determined to likely meet the traits of successful alumni) results in better outcomes.
